Welcome to my 5-week, 1-on-1 photography class, held in the inner city suburb of Petersham, Sydney.

This weekly class is designed for students of all levels, including beginners and intermediates who want to improve their skills, regardless of camera brand.

All camera brands including Olympus, Canon, Nikon, Fujifilm, Pentax, Sony, Panasonic, and Leica cameras are included in this class.

Week 1:

Introduction to Manual Mode

• ISO

• Aperture

• F-stops

• How to use your camera in manual mode

Week 2:

Composition Basics

• How to create visual interest in your photos

• The rule of thirds and other composition techniques

• Tips for creating dynamic and balanced images

• Study of different composition elements such as lines, shapes, patterns, textures and colour

• Study of different composition techniques such as leading lines, symmetry, contrast, framing and the use of negative space

Week 3:

Understanding Apertures & ISO

• What do F numbers mean

• What is Depth of field and how to control it

• Tips on what F Numbers to use in landscape, travel, street and portrait fotography

• What ISO is and how it helps you to get sharper fotos!

Week 4:

Understanding Shutter Speed

• How do shutter speeds affect your fotos

• When do you need to use tripod

• How to get smooth silky waterfall fotos or ultra sharp fast sports fotos.

Week 5:

Close-up Photography

• Tips for capturing stunning close-up shots

• Techniques for focusing and composition

• How to use different lenses for close-up photography

You will be supplied with a booklet which will be updated at each session which we will go through together while using your camera in manual.

Each session will include a brief review of the one before it so you can refresh your memory and keep using the abilities you've already mastered.

With the 1-on-1 learning, you will have the chance to ask questions and receive individualised guidance, ensuring that you get the most out of the lesson.
